When 13-year-old Milo is sent to spend the summer holidays with his grandmother on the outskirts of a quiet town, he meets Oscar—a boy who has a serious heart condition, a dog-eared copy of Prince Caspian, and an imagination as vast as Narnia itself.

When Oscar is bullied, Milo must find the courage to be the friend he’s always wanted to be. And when the summer holidays draw to a close, Milo faces the hardest battle of all: saying goodbye and believing that life—like the best stories—never truly ends.

Book cover titled "A Life More Than Ordinary" by Julie Tyrie, featuring a gray and white illustration of a woman with short hair and a ribbon around her neck, with subtitle about love, loss, and hope in faith in a faithful God.

In 2013, my autobiography, A Life More Than Ordinary, was published. It is a deeply personal testimony to the unwavering faithfulness of God—His power to rescue, redeem, and sustain through life’s most difficult seasons. Within its pages, I share my journey of dealing with a difficult upbringing, my daughter’s battle with cancer, and my husband’s cancer journey and his passing, bearing witness to God’s faithfulness and grace in the midst of profound trial and dark times.

In 2025, the book was carefully revised, with a few tweaks to the content and an updated author biography to reflect God’s continued work and blessings in my life since its original release.

This updated edition is now available as an eBook on Amazon and can also be purchased as a paperback directly through this website.

My inspirational historical romance novel is in the pitching stage. Stay tuned for news!
